more studio goodies

my cheap assed m-audio studio monitors should be here any day now
along with a pair of shiny new wireless headphones.

i wanted to go crazy and blow serious money on monitors
cuz well
it would be worth it
and proemland needs good sound

but instead
i decided
[well alyssa helped make the decision]
that i should get an xbox 360
which is an evil evil thing
considering the time frame i have to finish my merck record

i neglected to buy games
[bad enough we are gonna have to eat ramen noodles for the next two weeks]
as a safety net of sorts
so whats the first thing i did after setting it up?
streamed new beta proem material while playing hexic
[yes the default music for hexic is awesome i know]
can i get an amen?

on that note
its looking like the world might see three whole full lengths from me this year
yeah.

but…
instead of finishing this material for merck
ive started an ambient record
which more or less will collect the darker still ep
and add 7 more tracks to the mix
half of which are already done
as its all i can seem to write lately
deep deep droney things with minor beats if any

and if you recall
im trying to keep you shall have ever been more
aggressive for lack of a better term
but aggressive really just means
dancier
heavier drums
same lush short attention span melodies
and usual proem fare

im not gonna lie
even though its my record
and i made it
i think its got some of the best songs ive ever written on it
[i say that about all of them though when they are this close to being finished so ignore half of what i just said about it]

so yeah
in order they will probably drop down as follows
you shall have ever been 2xcd [late ausgust early sept]
untitled ambient record [dec at the latest]
untitled full length [sometime in the middle of sept-dec]

hello flood
only without the thousands of dollars in property damage

  almost bought an xbox 360 the other day… then i realized i never like xbox games… gonna wait for ps3.

  Wow! Three?! That’s pretty awesome. Nice to see you going in the ambient direction. Merck artists seem to pull off ambient better than a lot of label artists I think…

  And what’s with the ramen hatin’? (It gets boring, I know, but I don’t think they’re that bad if you get the right brand!)
