new toys
new toys kick ass
yesterday i finally got around to purcahsing
the m-audio trigger finger
heres to more natural drum programming
setting it up is a little tedious
but not terribly difficult
they have a nice bit of editor software for it
and
seeing as how i am who i am
i had to customize it
i can never leave anything alone
out of the box
for too long
really
makes me want to sell my mk-249c
in favor of a 61 key semi weighted solution
not that i need 61 keys
or semi weighted
but
light plastic “velocity sensitive” keys are no fun
hardly responsive
the thing lacking from most of my work
is proper attack
well not attack so much
as proper variation of attack
and frankly
semi weighted
or even hammer action keys would resolve some of that
i did however rewire evertyhing
the back of my machine
was a mess usb cables
im a bit of a peripheral nut
out of the 8 or so usb ports
6 of them are filled
so
out came the velcro cable ties
two hours later
the cats
think its a new jungle gym for them
i fear one day
ill find my two 19” monitors
and everything else on the desk
scattered about the floor

Hey I just got trigger finger. Id be interested in how you customize. I use it with battery in ableton live. Its sweet, im not too good with the enigma thing yet. BTW, socially inept kicks ass! Whens your next release?

F the M-Audio Keystation. You should seriously check out the M-Audio Axiom! Go down to a local GC and try them out….they feel amazing!! Plus they give you so much more control. Also you mentioned that you’re using Reaper, have you seen the new FL Studio 6? I just got it, and it is AMAZING! so intuitive but so flexible. Plus you can pick it up for like $200. Hell at that price, I’d buy you a legit copy just to make sure you keep putting out quality noise! I love your sound man….keep it coming!
