vocaloid
i REALLY want to make vocals a more dominant element in the future
and
because im such a hermit
and dont know any vocalists willing to lead thier chops
im considering
buying one of the vocaloid vsts
check the out the demos
ive wrestled with about five different approaches in the last two years and none have given me the results im after
i wind up spending too much time making sure they sync
or waste hours on end tweaking for expression
honestly
i’m prefectly happy with vocals that do not sound like a real human
i want them to sound very unreal
singing machines are usually WAY hotter than singing humans
this is why i vocode all my text to speech and dice real vocals like cucumbers for summer salad…
i dont think the the human voice belongs in electronic music
[there are exceptions of course cough portishead cough bjork cough unless its decimated, or decomposed to the point of it becoming random noise.
hmmm
re-reading that
youd think i have a low opinion of the human race or something
;)
but i digress
what i’m really after is
anyone out there used vocaloid or virsyn cantor
or could point me in the direction of a decent torrent/download to demo before i drop 200$?
